With the kickoff to the Volvo Penta IPS Med Trip just around the corner, the crew gears up to unload the PTA80 in Palma, Mallorca, tomorrow.
The weather in Palma, Mallorca, is cloudy and cold today, but the forecast is looking bright for the weekend. And that’s a good thing because tonight the Mitiq will moor in the Palma harbor, and tomorrow Klas Karlsson, three employees from Camber Marine (Volvo Penta’s local dealer) and the Mitiq’s load master will begin the process of unloading the PTA80 via crane and putting her in the water. On Monday, they’ll drive her to the Club de Mar, where the first seminar in the Volvo Penta IPS Med Trip will be held.
Twenty-five guests are expected to attend the first session, which begins at 10 a.m. and includes a presentation on the advantages of Volvo Penta IPS and the ease of installation, an opportunity to ask questions of the Volvo Penta experts, and a test drive around the harbor.
The PTA will depart on May 6 for destination #2: Barcelona, Spain.
